DATALEX, which develops software for travel companies, made a profit of $1.9 million (€1.6m) last year in spite of falling revenues.

Revenue for the slipped by 7% to $28.4m (€23.6m) but tight cost control meant the company was able to return to profitability for the first time in some years.

Costs in 2005 fell by nearly a quarter and the profit of $1.9m compares to a loss of $18,000 €14,969) in 2004.
