Tullow finds gas in North Sea well

Oil and gas exploration company Tullow Oil has announced a gas discovery in its Monroe exploration well in the North Sea.

Chief executive Aidan Heavey said: “The success of the Monroe well demonstrates the continued prospectivity of this core area.”

First production is expected by mid-2005.
