Avensis wins What Car? Best Family Car award

WHAT CAR? magazine has awarded Best Family Car of the Year 2004 to the new Toyota Avensis, which was amongst one of the 18 award winners to be selected in this year’s awards.

The Avensis was awarded the best within its category because “the appeal of the Avensis lies in its great build quality, top drive, performance and superb safety” (WhatCar? March 2004). While its five-star Euro NCAP crash-testing rate provides the consumer with excellent safety.

The Toyota Avensis was also awarded Semperit Irish Car of the Year 2004, having been introduced to the Irish market last March. In January this year Toyota Ireland sold 1,554 units with a market share of 27%.
