New summer service to Southampton

REGIONAL airline Aer Arann Express, has introduced a new direct summer service from Cork to Southampton, predicting it will carry over 10,000 passengers on the route during the summer period.

The new direct service which commences from May 12, October 25 2003, will reduce the journey time for passengers to Southampton, as previously they had a 20 minute stopover in Bristol.

With fares from 109 return, the direct service will depart Cork Airport at 1200 noon midweek arriving at 1.30 pm. The return flight will depart Southampton at 2.00pm and arrive in Cork at 3.30. The service will be operated on an ATR42 48 seater aircraft.
