Germany may set business tax at 30%

German Finance Minister Hans Eichel may plan to equalise the corporate taxes for all types of businesses at about 30%, Welt am Sonntag said, without saying where it got the information.

Eichel expects the tax change will make Germany more attractive to possible domestic and foreign investors, the newspaper said in an article to be published on Saturday. The corporate tax would not exceed 35%, the newspaper said. Eichel may plan to completely slash the trade tax, Welt am Sonntag said.
