Britvic to float on stock market

Britvic, whose brands include Robinson’s Barley Water and orange drink Tango, is understood to be on the brink of choosing advisers to mastermind the listing.

Analysts said the successful listings of Irish drinks group C&C and Typhoo Tea maker Premier Foods earlier this year had provided comfort that conditions had improved for drinks groups seeking to go public.

Britvic employs almost 3,000 people and made profits of approximately €15m in the first three months of the year.
