ISEQ ends week in positive territory

THE Irish market remained in positive numbers yesterday as the Index closed up 27.95 points at 5154.14.

Drug-maker Elan was the best performer with a share price jump of over a euro from the previous day’s close. Elan ceased trading at €16.40, €1.25 stronger.

Construction and building materials company Barlo had nearly 27m shares changing hands and ended the day 5c better at 44c. Bookmakers Paddy Power again posted gains of 5c to end at €8.80.
