Timber-frame housing firm to create 100 jobs with 5m Macroom plant

The company said the 40,000sq ft plant would treble its existing capacity and allow it to boost staff from 150 to 250.

The plant, which is located on the site of the former General Semiconductor facility, will be fully operational in November. General Semiconductor closed in 2001, with the loss of 670 jobs.
