Law firm names life sciences post

Dublin: Law firm Matheson Ormsby Prentice has appointed former Elan senior executive Tom Maher as a partner and head of the firm’s life sciences practice.

Mr Maher is a corporate transactional lawyer and has practiced in the life sciences industry for over six years.

He was vice-president of legal affairs with Elan Corporation until the end of 2003 and has advised on many of the most significant deals within the life sciences industry in Ireland.
