AEP gets fund boost from US merger

IRISH software firm AEP Systems has merged with a US company and secured €3.6 million in fresh funding.

Dublin-based AEP said the merger with Netilla Networks will make the combined firm one of the largest in the security software market.

Existing investors in both companies have agreed to pump in fresh funding. Since it was set up, AEP has raised more than €20 million from investors, including ACT Venture Capital and Intel Communications.
