Mixed day for financial sector

THE ISEQ was 12.31 points softer at 5314.01 yesterday.

Overall the ISEQ Financial index eased 23.07 points to 9094.74.

CRH continued to gain following the recent positive AGM statement. The stock added 22c to €17.45.

Elsewhere in the construction sector, Kingspan strengthened to €4.85 while McInerney gained 10c to finish at €5.00.

Tullow Oil closed 5c stronger at €1.65 after announcing the discovery of gas at the Lalmai well in Bangladesh.
