GoldQuest completes share placing

Mining and exploration company Minmet said its GoldQuest subsidiary had completed a c$860,000 share placing, attracting investment from a subsidiary of South African gold giant Gold Fields.

The company also said Gold Fields had transferred its 50% stake in a joint venture in the Dominican Republic into a fully-owned subsidiary of GoldQuest, in exchange for equity in GoldQuest.
