Braun talks hit crunch phase

TALKS between workers and management at one of the south east’s largest companies hit a crunch phase today.

Fears are growing that if industrial action goes ahead at the Braun hair care products manufacturing in Carlow, that the 500 jobs at the plant could be in jeopardy.

Over 350 industrial grade workers at the plant rejected Labour Court pay-offer recommendations supported by SIPTU over a fortnight ago.
