Bakers’ position ‘satisfactory’ despite €2.5m loss
The bread maker’s accounts, which have just been filed at the Companies Registration Office, show the figure compared to a profit of €2m in 2003. The plunge into losses was because the company wrote off a loan of €4m during the year.
At operating profit level, which measures the profitability of the core business, earnings fell from €1.99m to €1.7m. Turnover for the year was up slightly from €31m to €32.8m.
