Warning over battery-power toys

THE Consumer Association has warned people to watch out for price hikes on toys and games in the run-up to Christmas.

Battery-operated toys are covered by a new directive for the recycling of electrical and electronic goods in Ireland.

This means shoppers could be paying extra in hidden costs.
