European trading volumes weak

TRADING volumes across Europe were light yesterday with the US market closed as a mark of respect for former president Ronald Reagan.

The ISEQ index was no different as it edged 10.77 points higher to close at 5328.80.

The financials were weaker. Allied Irish Bank slipped 7c to €12.25. Bank of Ireland fell 13c to €10.55; Irish Life & Permanent eased 5c to €12.65, while Anglo Irish Bank lost 1c to €13.29.
