Irish exiles head for financial sector

Almost half of young Irish professionals working in London are employed in banking and finance, according to a new survey from Enterprise Ireland.

A further 20% work in law firms, while The Irish presence is also strong in publishing and the arts.

Enterprise Ireland said that it hoped to leverage off the skills of Irish people living in London and has launched a new group aimed at facilitating networking among Irish professionals in the city.

Young Irish Professionals (YIP) has already attracted more than 1,000 members and hopes to facilitate Irish businesses looking to develop new markets and contacts.
