BANK OF IRELAND has emerged as the major financial backer of a British company planning to become the first pornography distributors to float on the London Stock Exchange.

Remnant Media plans to use a portfolio of 45 highly profitable pornographic magazines purchased from Daily Express owner Richard Desmond for£20 million (€29.6m) as the spring board for its success.

The magazines published by former Desmond company Fantasy Publications include titles such as Asian Babes, Readers Wives, Horny Housewives and Mega Boobs. The company also owns Attitude, Britain's leading gay lifestyle magazine.
