Fertiliser supplier takeover approved

The Competition Authority has given the go-ahead for the takeover of fertiliser supplier Albatros Plant Nutrition by Timac Agri-business.

The McDonagh Group last month agreed to sell Albatros’s operations at New Ross, Co Wexford and Ringaskiddy, Co Cork, for an undisclosed sum, to Timac, a subsidiary of the French company Roullier Group.
