EUROPEAN indices eased into negative territory yesterday.

Market follows European trend

With earlier focus on the statements from the Bank of England and the ECB the ISEQ closed 38.42 points weaker at 4294.11.

There were losses across the market in Dublin. Profit-taking in the Financials led both Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland lower. CRH continued to fall following its negative statement on earnings in the US on Monday. On a positive note both Elan and Galen gained 4.44% and 1.5% respectively.
