FDA to inspect Boston Scientific

US Food and Drug Administration expects to inspect Boston Scientific factory in the “near future” as part of its probe into the company’s coronary stent recall, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Boston Scientific has recalled more than 99,000 stents, most of them from the Irish plant, one of the company's two stent-making units.

An FDA official said the agency did not find problems at the company's Minnesota plant, but planned to inspect the Galway plant.
