Tourism group’s chief to retire

THE chief executive of the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation (ITIC) will retire next week after 14 years at the head of the tourist industry’s principal lobby group.

Tourism group’s chief to retire

Brendan Leahy, a former director general of FÁS and chief executive of CERT, will step down next Monday.

ITIC was established in 1984 to provide a unified voice for the tourism sector. Mr Leahy became the organisation’s first full-time chief executive in 1990.
