TWENTY-FIVE European animal welfare Groups including Compassion in World Farming - Ireland protested in Brussels yesterday against the live transport of farm animals.

Campaigns officer for CIWF-Ireland Sinead O’Brien said each year around three million cattle, pigs, sheep and horses, are transported across Europe on journeys lasting from 30-90 hours and suffer terribly during that time.
