Digical acquires seven businesses

DIGICEL, the Denis O’Brien-owned mobile phone company that serves the Caribbean region, formally completed the acquisition of seven businesses in the region that previously belonged to American mobile giant Cingular Wireless.

Digicel can now target markets in Bermuda, Anguilla, St Kitts & Nevis and Dominica and has regulatory approval for the acquisition of Cingular’s operations in Grenada, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
