ISEQ rises for fourth day running

The Dublin ISEQ Index posted gains for the fourth day in succession yesterday, to close 18.58 higher at 4774.24.

This follows the trend of both the US and European indices, which also recorded gains.

Irish banks led the charge again today, with heavyweights AIB and Bank of Ireland both edging ahead with gains of 13 cents, and 2 cents respectively.

In construction, Irelands largest floor manufacturer Kingspan rose 8 cents to 3.75, after news of Goodbody Stockbrokers increasing its 12 month share price target from 3.15 to 4.25.

Budget airline Ryanair remained positive after maintaining its share price above the 7 Euro mark, to close 7 cents higher at 7.10. Drugmaker Elan dropped 4.89% to 4.47, after news that they will sell 35 million shares in Convertible Notes to trim debt.
