Jarvis chairman grilled at meeting

The chairman of engineering firm Jarvis was yesterday accused of presiding over a ’shambles’ as he faced a grilling from shareholders over executive pay and the collapse in the firm’s share price.

One shareholder said he queried the suitability of former Tory MP Steven Norris to stay in the job.

“You have presided over a multi-faceted disaster,” Mr Norris was told.
