Morrisons to have boardroom change

BELEAGUERED supermarket group Morrisons is understood to be preparing for a boardroom reshuffle.

Morrisons to have boardroom change

The chain is understood to be considering making its recently appointed senior non-executive director Paul Manduca deputy chairman, in place of David Jones, the chairman of Next.

Mr Jones was appointed to the Morrisons board last spring following the supermarket’s take over of Safeway.

Morrisons has been struggling since it took over Safeway, and the group conceded in May that costs associated with integrating the two businesses were likely to remain higher and take longer to eliminate than hoped.
