Market again in positive position

The ISEQ index closed in positive territory for the fifth consecutive day. The Dublin Exchange moved 33.36 points ahead to 7661.44.

Construction giant CRH added 8c to €26.38 as the world’s largest brick manufacturer Wienerberger announced an increase in sales boding well for CRH’s prospects on the Continent.

Elsewhere, Eircom rose 8c to €2.12 as the market awaits the firm’s third quarter results due today. Elan gained 25c on the day to close out at €11.95. Food group IAWS strengthened by 9c to €13.55.
