CHC in line for rescue contract

CHC Helicopter has been named by the Department of Transport as the “preferred bidder” to provide commercial search and rescue helicopter services from four bases in Ireland starting July 1, 2007.

CHC and the Coast Guard will now negotiate details of the operation with a view to finalising a contract to provide search and rescue helicopter services from bases at Dublin, Sligo, Shannon and Waterford.
