Porsche confident of sales growth

Porsche, Europe’s most profitable carmaker, said yesterday it is “confident” about sales growth in the current fiscal year after four-month revenue rose 4%.

Greater demand for 911 sports cars and Cayenne sport-utility vehicles had fuelled the rise.

The new Boxster and 911 models will also boost growth this year, said chief executive Wendelin Wiedeking.
