Ireland the jewel in Boots’ crown

PHARMACY chain Boots said its Irish stores were the star performers of the group when it published its latest trading statement yesterday.

The company, which has 39 outlets here, said its British sales continued to slide in the first half and that the outlook was negative.

It will open 5 more stores here over the next 12 months.
