Baltimore row with Earthport goes on

THE public row between Baltimore Technologies and Earthport continued yesterday when Earthport issued a statement to the stock exchange saying it had not yet given up on plans to take over Baltimore.

The company dismissed an earlier statement from Baltimore that said it planned to have Earthport wound up over an outstanding payment.

“Earthport regards the announcement made by Baltimore yesterday morning as a crude attempt to undermine the company,” the statement said. The company also said talks to source funds for its proposed takeover were “at an advanced stage”.

The stock exchange has set a deadline of January 31 for Earthport to table an offer for Baltimore.
