BON SECOURS, the country’s largest private hospital and medical group, recorded a 350% rise in annual profits last year.

Accounts just filed at the companies office for Bon Secours Health System Limited show profits jumped from €2.09 million to €9.2m at the end of 2003.

The company saw its income from operations increase from €103.4m to €121.3m, a 17% rise. Operating expenses increased by €11m to €93m, though administration costs were just €1m ahead at €20m. This helped Bon Secours’ bottom-line profits come in at €8.77m for 2003, up from €1.23m the previous year.
