Cavan resort to create 250 jobs

An €85 million hotel development in Cavan will create 250 jobs.

The Radisson SAS Farnham Estate Hotel is due to open next summer.

Cavan native Roy McCabe will invest in the hotel development following his purchase of the 400-year-old Farnham Estate in 2001.

The 158-bedroom hotel is the first Radisson SAS resort in the country and will become the 10th Radisson hotel in Ireland.

The estate will feature an 18-hole championship golf course, 500 hectares of walking trails and fishing and trekking.
