Beamish & Crawford reports reasonable first-half performance

BEAMISH & CRAWFORD, which froze its draught prices last year due to falling demand in the pubs, had a reasonable first-half in a declining market, a spokeswoman said.

Some sources estimate the cost to the group could be as high as €15 million over the last two years.

However the spokeswoman said the figure “wasn’t remotely close” but refused to confirm the amount spent by the Cork-based brewer to support its drinks range which includes its stout, Millers and Fosters.
