GMIT project gets €350,000 grant

A GMIT-based engineering initiative has been awarded €350,000 grant by Enterprise Ireland for expansion of its environmental design research.

The project proposal, entitled Development of the Design for an Environmental Compliance Workbench, was submitted by GMIT engineering lecturer, Dr Thomas Roche.

Dr Roche said the goal for the project is to set up a design research company in the west, at GMIT’s new Industry Support Centre.
