Goldman Sachs is top dog of deals

US investment bank Goldman Sachs has topped the list of financial advisers working on the most deals in the Irish market so far this year.

Goldman Sachs advised on deals worth €459m so far this year, ahead of AIB’s corporate finance arm, which advised on transactions valued at €450m.

The figures are contained in the latest review by MergerMarket.com, an online financial advice group.

In joint third place in the Irish market were CIBC World Markets and Cedar Capital Partners, while other international firms came fourth and fifth.
