McCreevy to speak at pensions event

EUROPEAN Commissioner Charlie McCreevy and Minister for Social & Family Affairs, Seamus Brennan, who is responsible for pensions, will be amongst the speakers at the Irish Association of Pension Funds (IAPF) Annual Benefits Conference to be held in the Radisson Hotel, Dublin on Thursday, 22nd September.

IAPF chairman Joe Byrne said: “With Minister Brennan due to receive the Pensions Board review study and the new EU Pensions Directive due to come into force in September this is a critical time for pensions and this promises to be a timely and lively conference.”

Other speakers are drawn from industry, trades unions, legal and academic organisations.
