Valista to develop Simpay for Orange

Payments software developer Valista has been chosen by mobile phone giant Orange to develop technology to connect its phone systems to Simpay, an industry venture aimed at processing small-value payments.

Simpay, which was set up by Orange, Vodafone and fellow industry giants Telefonica of Spain and Germany’s T-Mobile, will allow up to 280 million mobile users pay for goods and services through their phones or the internet.
