IHF seeks €50m for Shannon region

THE Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) says a marketing budget of €10 million a year for five years will be needed for the Shannon region when the mandatory stop-over ends.

The IHF says the money should be ring-fenced and used to market Shannon for the US market.

The IHF also wants the region to get priority for road improvements, improving the rail network and completing the Dublin to Limerick motorway.
