Abbey to move to AIM from FTSE

Housebuilder Abbey has announced plans to move from a full listing on the London stock exchange to the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

The company will also leave the Dublin exchange’s official list to join the secondary Developing Companies Market.

Executive chairman and major shareholder Charles Gallagher said the move would make Abbey shares more attractive to British investors who tracked AIM companies. Abbey shares will continue to be part of the ISEQ index in Dublin.
