Accountants’ pay catching up on Dublin rates

ACCOUNTANTS’ salaries in Cork and Limerick are quickly catching up on pay levels in Dublin, according to new research commissioned by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The institute said over the weekend that salary levels in Dublin had traditionally been between 8% and 10% higher than in the rest of the country, but that the gap was closing.

Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) based in Dublin could look forward to a starting salary of between €39,000 and €46,000 on qualification, according to the institute’s research, which was carried out by recruitment company Brightwater Selection.
