Standard Life alter investment stance

Standard Life Investments has said it was moving its investment stance on non-British European equities to “heavy” from “neutral, “ expecting good performance by companies.

“We think the conditions are falling into place for some very strong earnings growth,” Andrew Milligan, head of global strategy, told Reuters.

It has £86.5 billion in assets under management overall. It said it was retaining “heavy” stances on US, British and Japanese equities.
