Manufacturing confidence boost

French manufacturers’ confidence climbed in June, matching April’s three-year high, as executives said in a survey they expect to lift production amid rising exports and declining inventories.

An index of manufacturing sentiment rose to 105, in line with economists’ forecasts, from 104 in May, Paris-based statistics office Insee said, citing a poll of about 2,500 companies.

A separate index measuring export orders climbed to minus 14 from minus 19 in May.
