Silver lining for Minco

Gold and silver exploration company Minco, which is quoted on London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM), said yesterday its studies at its Mexican operations had been completed and data was being analysed.

The company will also finish legal and technical work on its Russian exploration site next month and hopes to bring the project to the pre-feasibility study within a year.

Drilling will be completed on the company's lead and zinc operation in Tipperary before the end of the year.

Chief executive Matthew Dorman said: “We believe our current portfolio of projects, being geographically diverse and having extremely robust economics, will continue to be high margin opportunities.”
