Export effort must be beefed up

IN the latest review on future industrial policy, the report Ahead of the Curve: Ireland’s Place in the Global Economy, says future economic success depends on getting close to our customers.

As we are an island economy, that means beefing up our sales effort overseas.

The Enterprise Strategy Group says our ability to deliver what customers want will be the “crucial component for Ireland’s future enterprise success and will ultimately determine whether we sustain the huge gains of recent years.”
