Banking stocks lead recovery

THE ISEQ index closed in positive territory as the banking stocks recovered. The Dublin exchange closed 35.88 points stronger at 7856.53.

Banking stocks lead recovery

AIB was 19c stronger and was €18.74 at the closing bell. Bank of Ireland climbed 12c ending up at €14.80. Irish Life and Permanent and Anglo Irish gained 20c and 19c.

CRH firmed up 1c to €28.01. Grafton Group and Kingspan Group closed down at €10.27 and €12.78.
