Soros’ officer starts own group

Jacob Goldfield, chief investment officer for George Soros’ flagship $8.3 billion hedge fund, resigned to start his own money management group, according to a memo sent to company employees.

Soros will replace Goldfield, aged 45, with his son Robert Soros as head of the Quantum Endowment Fund.
