HP calls on State to enforce WEEE

HP has called on the government to properly enforce the EU’s Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) directive, which takes effect this month.

WEEE makes electrical and electronic equipment suppliers responsible for the safe and proper disposal of old electronic equipment.

“In modern Ireland, recycling is an imperative, not an option,” said Martin Murphy, managing director of HP Ireland.
