THE ISEQ rose for a fourth consecutive day nudging ahead 1.75 points to 6118.91 at the closing bell.

The financials had a mixed day with AIB and Bank of Ireland both showing increases of 5c and 25c respectively. Anglo Irish took a hit of 23c to €11.35, while Irish Life and Permanent finished up at €13.20.

In construction, Readymix was the main talk of the day after warning that full-year profits will be substantially lower than market expectations. The stock shed 15c to €1.70. CRH gained 10c to €19.50 with over 1.2 million shares traded, while Grafton eased 12c to €7.68.
